AGM Update 2024

Our 2024 AGM was successfully held last night at the Central Baptist Church, thanks to all the tenants and staff members who came along.

Our Chairperson Heather gave an update on our activities and priorities, there was also an update from Housing and Contruction Services given by Olga from Dundee City Council. Mike from the Communities team kindly oversaw our election process and we have a full set of office bearers in place for the new year- Chair Heather Adams, Vice Chair Kevin Howieson, Treasurer Dorothy Leaburn and Secretary Linda Smith (all the same as last year, with exception of Dorothy). We also have executive members Nan Fraser, James Bastone, and our new member Gillian Bruce completing our committee. We also still have our wonderful guest adviser Alice Bovill to support us again this year. Whilst Alice is not a tenant, she is Chair of her St Marys tenants group, and also Chair of Tenant Information (Scotland) and brings with her a wealth of national and local experience. Our executive members come from Barnhill, Lochee, St Marys, Charleston and Menzieshill tenants and residents groups (we also have independent members). We were supported by Sarah and Kirsten from the Community Empowerment Team who helped us organise this and also ensured online members could attend this and hear and see everything that was going on. Our hardworking Treasurer Jean Brown has now stepped down from the committee.
